Andrea Turner (firstname.lastname@example.org , www.amms6thcounseling.weebly.com , or 470-254-8248) is our 6th grade counselor. Mrs. Turner grew up in Woodbury, Minnesota where she was a Girl Scout, played basketball, and participated in the Spanish Club and in drama. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin- Eau Claire and a Masters Degree in Education with an emphasis in School Counseling from the University of Hawaii- Manoa. Mrs. Turner has worked in California, Hawaii, and Cobb County before landing in Fulton. She served as an elementary school counselor from 1998-2011, and she was the Fulton County Program Administrator for Elementary Counselors, SST/RTI Coordinators, and Section 504 Chairpersons from 2011-2014. Mrs. Turner returned to elementary counseling for two years before deciding to transition to middle school. Mrs. Turner and her husband have a son attending Kennesaw State University, a daughter attending high school, and three dogs. In her spare time, Mrs. Turner enjoys cycling, concerts, sports- especially Vikings football, and spending time outside.
Tammie Kincaid (email@example.com or 470-254-8247),is the counselor for 7th grade. She graduated from the University of Central Florida with her BS in Early Childhood Education. She enjoyed teaching in Florida and in Fulton County for seven years. She was honored as Teacher of the Year at her school in 2006. She completed her Masters in School Counseling at the University of West Alabama. She has been a school counselor since 2007, serving at Abbotts Hill, Dolvin, and State Bridge Elementary School before coming to Autrey Mill. Mrs. Kincaid enjoys traveling and spending time with her sons, friends, and family.
Denise Santos (firstname.lastname@example.org or 470-254-8249) is the counselor for 8th grade. Denise was born in New York, but she grew up in South Florida. She recieved her BS is Sociology from Francis Marion University in South Carolina. She has lived in the Atlanta area for almost 20 years and loves it! Ms. Santos is a “Double Dawg” who received a Master’s Degree in Social Work and an Education Specialist Degree in School Counseling from the University of Georgia. She has worked with children, adolescents, and families in diverse social service and educational environments throughout the surrounding metro-Atlanta area. Ms. Santos is very excited to be part of the Autrey Mill family and community. In her spare time, she enjoys playing tennis, walking, traveling both near and far, and trying to capture all of if in photography.
Fran Meredith (email@example.com , Road to Success- Academic Tips and Tricks Blog , or 470-254-8251) is the Graduation Coach for all grades. She graduated from Auburn University with her BS in English Education. After teaching 7th grade at Taylor Road Middle School for five years, Fran completed her Masters in School Counseling at Georgia State University and helped open Autrey Mill Middle School as a counselor in 2003. She completed her Educational Leadership certification in 2009. Mrs. Meredith and her husband enjoy spending time with their daughter, who reminds them every day that children are both challenging and wonderful.
Amy Pate (firstname.lastname@example.org or 470-254-8266) is AMMS’ 504 Coordinator. She graduated from Kennesaw State University with a BS in Middle Grades Math and Science. In 2005, she received her Masters degree from Mercer University. Mrs. Pate came to AMMS in 2005 after teaching 8th grade math for six years at Taylor Road Middle School. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and her two children. Mrs. Pate loves working with middle school students.
Janet Lane (email@example.com or 470-254-8266) is the Student Support Team (SST) and Response to Intervention (RTI) Coordinator for AMMS. Originally from New Jersey, she graduated from Monmouth College with a BS in education. Mrs. Lane moved to Georgia where she met and married her husband. While raising four children, she received a Master’s Degree, National Board Certification, and a degree in Supervision and Leadership. Mrs. Lane is very happy to be part of the AMMS family. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, walking, reading, and spending time with her family and friends.
Unnur Komayer (firstname.lastname@example.org or 470-254-8244) is AMMS’ registrar. She coordinates student registration and oversees student records. Mrs. Kornmayer opened AMMS as the media parapro and was honored as Professional of the Year for the 2010-2011 school year. She is a graduate of The Pennsylvania State University and the Thunderbird School of Global Management. Married with three children, she and her family have lived in Johns Creek for 20+ years.
